Today we’re dialing the time machine to January 10th, 1985. Ronald Reagan was just a few days away from being sworn in for a second term. But those who didn’t care for politics were jamming out to Madonna in a Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z.

January 10th, 1985 📆
Football reigned supreme in the mid-80s, and America was gearing up for Super Bowl XIX between the Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers. The matchup would feature two of the all-time greats at quarterback: Dan Marino and Joe Montana.
The game was to be played at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California, just a few minutes from San Francisco. With most of the 84,509 fans wearing red and gold, it was essentially a home game for the 49ers.
The game ended up being a stinker, with the 49ers crushing the Dolphins 38-16. 🥱

Central Texas was getting blasted with a once-in-a-generation snowstorm, with certain areas around San Antonio recording up to 14 inches of snow.
Or, as Midwesterners called it, “just another Thursday”.
