MJ’s Thriller album had been out for exactly two weeks, meaning we’d listened to it on vinyl approximately 137 times. Featuring songs like “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, and “Thriller”, it’s no surprise that it spent 37 non-consecutive weeks as #1 on the Billboard chart. To this day, Thriller is the top-selling album of all time, having sold an estimated 70 million copies worldwide.
